With its terracotta roof tiles and sugar-cube buildings, the Hotel El Paso brings a taste of Mexico to Portaventura. There are two pools to choose from, and the kid’s pool is particularly impressive. Lake-sized and set in a roomy terrace, its centrepiece is a sunken pirate galleon, complete with crows nest and water pump.
